objectives - You develop a written business plan for the summer. You'll get a computerized
analysis of your business plan every week. This printout will highlight the strengths and
weaknesses of your business and provide you with insight to make any immediate changes
that must be made to achieve your summer objectives.
Recruiting and Hiring - You'll learn how to create an interest in fellow
students who need summer jobs. You'll learn how to grade an application, how to get
irrevocable summer commitments to be part of your team, and how to complete the hiring
process.
Marketing - You'll learn about the proven marketing strategies that have
worked since 1968. You'll learn how to analyze the clients and competition in your
district and how to refine a marketing plan that will lead to a successful summer.
Sales - You'll learn all the magic words that the 'Pros' use. You'll learn
how to sell yourself and how to sell your service. You'll learn how to pre-sell the
client, how to overcome objections, and how to finalize the sale.
Paints - You'll learn technical information about paints, stains, and special
coatings that will put you on the same level as the experienced "Pro" in your
district. You'll learn how to use this knowledge to sell your client and to consistently
produce quality paint jobs all summer long.
Personnel Management - You learn how to motivate each member of your team to
produce maximum results. You'll learn how to extract feedback and provide leadership for
successful resolution of problems.
