How
are my painters trained?
Like college, our basic training has a foundation of textbooks and booklets. You and your
painters are trained in skills of the relatively easy house painting trade. Written
programs can be supplemented with slides, videotapes, classroom training, and on-the-job
training. In addition, our Regional Manager and paint store managers are available for on
going advice.

You'll have 50-60 hours of classroom and in-the-field training in the Spring. This is
followed by field advice all summer long. You are trained in "How-To-Paint",
given recruiting strategies, trained in interviewing skills, along with marketing and
professional selling techniques. Other topics covered are employee motivation,
profitability analysis, budgets, job costing, estimating, sales, production management,
and quality control.
