Do I have to have experience?
No. With over 30 years of experience, we know how to turn raw college talent into the business know-how that results in enthusiastic clients. It doesn't even matter what your major is! Our District Managers are the mature, achievement type of person who has good communication skills, initiative, energy, and commitment to his clients and employees. We'll provide you with guidance to do the rest.

How are my painters trained?
Like college, our basic training has a foundation of textbooks and booklets. You and your painters are trained in skills of the relatively easy house painting trade. Written programs can be supplemented with slides, videotapes, classroom training, and on-the-job training. In addition, our Regional Manager and paint store managers are available for on going advice.

Are District Managers trained?
You'll have 50-60 hours of classroom and in-the-field training in the Spring. This is followed by field advice all summer long. You are trained in "How-To-Paint", given recruiting strategies, trained in interviewing skills, along with marketing and professional selling techniques. Other topics covered are employee motivation, profitability analysis, budgets, job costing, estimating, sales, production management, and quality control.

What kind of support is provide by College Pride Student Painters ?
A full-time General Manager advises you throughout the summer. This is an experience professional painter who has walked in your shoes and knows how to build a successful client-driven house painting business. In addition, we provide a two year written guarantee to your clients.

What about equipment?
We provide only the best OSHA approve ladders to guarantee a safe work environment for your painters. We provide lots of drop cloths and an abundant supply of hand tools on every job to guarantee your client receives a quality paint job.

What is a District Manager's investment?
None! College Pride
owns and provides all the equipment, hand tools, supplies, and paints. You can begin working and receiving money the very first week after you've completed your first training session in the Spring. You don't have to buy ladders or other painting equipment.

What is the time commitment for District Managers?
Your business requires that you work part time in the Spring and full time in the Summer. During the Spring, you'll do estimates after school or come home on weekends. The Summer is busy with long days interacting with painters, clients, supplier, and the "staff" at Home Office.
